Welcome to Southern Cardiology Group, a prominent provider of cardiac care and consultation services in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. Our journey commenced in late 2001 when Dr. Brian Wood extended an invitation to Dr. Philip Carrillo De Albornoz, fondly known as Dr. Phil Carrillo, to join him at his consulting rooms on 115 Frankston Flinders Rd in Frankston. Three years later, Dr. Robert Lew became an integral part of our team, leading to the establishment of the Southern Cardiology Group as it stands today.

At Southern Cardiology Group, our fundamental philosophy revolves around the delivery of the highest quality care while minimizing unnecessary investigations for our patients. We take immense pride in dedicating ample time to each individual patient, ensuring they have the opportunity to thoroughly express their concerns. This approach allows us to offer a thoughtful and comprehensive explanation of the clinical situation while addressing any questions or uncertainties that our patients may have.

As a collective of three equal specialists, rather than a corporation with principals and junior staff, we can ensure a conflict-free environment. We regularly convene to discuss intricate cases, leveraging our combined expertise to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.

While our primary consulting rooms are situated in Frankston, we extend our services beyond geographical confines. Dr. Carrillo consults at the Bays Hospital in Mornington, and Dr. Lew sees patients in Rosebud and Hampton Park. Irrespective of the location, all bookings, billing, and communication are centralized through our main consulting rooms in Frankston.

We hold esteemed appointments at Frankston Public Hospital, actively participating in the wards for emergency admissions and the Cardiology Outpatient Department. Dr. Lew currently serves as the Director of Cardiology, while both Dr. Wood and Dr. Carrillo have previously held this prestigious position. We provide our patients with the flexibility to choose between public and private hospitals on the Mornington Peninsula for tests and admissions.

Supporting our practice is a dedicated team of three affable and highly proficient secretaries, facilitating the smooth operation of our group. They are available to assist with appointments, billing inquiries, directions, and any queries you may have. Furthermore, our practice boasts a team of four highly experienced Echo Technicians who play an integral role in delivering our Echocardiography service.
